This poignant picture of a newborn baby cradled by motorcycle gear has a very heartbreaking story behind it.
Little Aubrey appears to be smiling as she rests peacefully on her father’s motorcycle gloves, with his helmet in the background.
But Hector Daniel Ferrer Alvarez was tragically shot dead in Florida just a matter of weeks before her birth, reports Yahoo News.

Described as a man who ‘loved life’, the 25-year-old was an avid motorcyclist and used to ride with his fiancée, Kathryn Williams.
Despite the couple setting a wedding date a week before Aubrey’s birth, Hector died before the marriage could take place.
Without the marriage Kathryn is not considered a ‘widow’, and is therefore not eligible for benefits.
In a bid to raise funds, the family set up a Gofundme page, solely for the ‘benefit and care’ of the baby.

The page reads: ‘He was eagerly and proudly looking forward to the changes in his near future when he became both husband and father.
‘He always wore protective gear when riding his bikes for he was insistent on safety and setting the proper example.’
‘Tragically, he and his new family were denied this future when someone he considered a friend took Hector’s life from them a mere month before Aubrey was born.’
Donations are said to go towards day care, health insurance and a college fund.
