“What I said was selfish and pointless,” Selena Gomez, 24, wrote on her Snapchat, among a black background. She is, of course, referring to her comments on Justin Bieber’s Instagram photo with Sofia Richie, 17, on Aug. 14, in which she slammed him for choosing his new lady friend over his fans.
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol,” Sel wrote, after the Biebs threatened to delete his Instagram if his loyal Belibers kept writing hurtful comments. “It should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before anyone ever did.”
Of course, things only escalated from there, as Justin clearly got the message and issued a scathing response, accusing the 24-year-old of using him “for attention” during their years-long, on-off relationship. Then, Selena fired back and claimed Justin cheated on her “multiple times,” and he reportedly wrote back, “I cheated…oh I forgot about You and Zayn?”
Fans obviously went NUTS over all this drama and even started the Twitter hashtag #SelenaEndedJustinParty. However, her Snapchat message makes it pretty clear she’s totally over the whole situation — and considering, Justin deactivated his Instagram account, he’s probably ready for all this to blow over, too. Let’s hope these two are able to finally put their differences aside and remain civil, even if they’re not in a relationship anymore!
