Popular Political Blogger, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, Allegedly Arrested by EFCC Over A Post He Made About Them

Popular blogger and owner of Abusidiqu.com , Abubakar Sidiq Usman, was this morning arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It is gathered that the EFCC, stormed Abubakar’s residence in Abuja this morning brandishing guns and a search warrant that allowed them search all through his apartment before eventually whisking him away to their headquarters, without giving him a reason for his arrest.

Online sources say he was arrested in front of his family and little kids.

According to information gathered by Coalition of Human Rights Defenders (COHRD), Abubakar’s arrest might not be unconnected with his latest posts on EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu, titled “EFCC Boss, Magu Commences Total War With Core EFCC Staff’.

EFCC as at this time have not given details of Abubakar’s arrest, but we shall keep you posted on developing events.

According to multiple sources, popular political blogger, Abubakar Sidiq Usman of Abusidiqu.com was this morning arrested allegedly by EFCC for making a post about the anti-graft agency.
