After all the hype and white noise, Paul Pogba finally made his 2nd Manchester United debut tonight.
The Frenchman was the subject of the biggest transfer saga of the summer, but the deal finally got done, as Juve finally relented once United met their asking price of 89.3m pounds.
So tonight is Pogback time, as the Frenchman makes his 2nd debut for the club, 4 years after leaving for Juventus.
First touch flatters to deceive
But….it wasn’t the most auspicious of starts for the attacking midfielder.
Sporing a bleached blonde hairstyle, there was simply no missing Pogba, and all eyes were on the Frenchman from the get-go.
The 23-year-old, starting against Southampton on his second Manchester United debut, had a really shaky start.
An awkward attempt to control the ball with his left-foot, followed by this shanked pass gave Southampton a chance to counter-attack inside 30 seconds, although they failed to punish the Red Devils.
So when his first touch was a total fail, and led to Southampton almost scoring on the counter-attack, Twitter inevitably had a lot of fun with it
