The ‘feuding’ between Afro pop star Davido and Dele Momodu doesn’t look to be ending anytime soon as the 23-year-old continues to drag the ace publisher into more sticky situations.
While a little controversy here and there is important for the showbiz industry to stay relevant, attract buzz and make the headlines, at this point Davido’s antics are beginning to transgress the bounds of decency.
Davido is not just a musician or an entertainer. He is an adult who has fathered a baby girl, he is a young man who represents several corporate brands, he is a ‘principal’ figure at his record label as well as a mentor to tens of millions of fans and followers out there.
Whether he realizes these is a discussion for another day. But whatever the case, he needs to sit up and act in a fitting way and manner just as his status demands.
