We would count the amount of success stories Project Fame has recorded in the last 8 years but that really has nothing to do with the purpose of this post. So instead we will be boosting this public service announcement that the reality TV show has opened its doors for this year’s auditions.
After unveiling Jeffery Akoh as the winner of last year’s edition, Project Fame returns this season in search of Nigeria’s next superstar. Though the judges for the new season have not been unveiled, we expect usual suspects, Nigerian producer, TY Mix, Ghanaian veteran songstress, Bibie and British-Nigerian performer Ade Bantu to be part of the critique board. Likewise, contestants will be trained by a team of experts from the Project Fame Academy headed by veteran actress Joke Silva.
Project Fame did not start out as Nigeria’s debut singing show format, but it is the longest serving. The show has aired since 2008 and has been responsible for setting the careers of Chidinma and Iyanya(The Academy’s biggest successes till date) on the road.
